As a technician you will be repairing woodwind instruments, brass instruments, and orchestral instruments•. This position will be in-house and you will be compensated per job. •If you have knowledge of woodwind and brass instruments but not orchestral, feel free to apply anyways.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent - Past experience of repairing band instruments, including replacing pads, corks, de-denting, adjusting, etc.

Duty or Responsibility:

Works on repairs in an efficient & timely manner. Ensuring each product is repaired according to established quality guidelines Maintain accurate records for production reporting

Required Skills & Abilities:

Diagnose and repair a wide range of musical instruments, including woodwind, brass, string, and percussion, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. A degree, certificate, or apprenticeship for Band Instrument Repair is required. 2+ years of relevant work experience required. Passed Bench Test showing competency in repair.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Must be able to stand 65% of the time and walk 15% of the time. Sitting and lifting required 10% of the time, respectively. Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments on instruments to ensure optimal performance. Provide estimates for repairs and communicate effectively with customers about the work required. Stay up-to-date with the latest repair techniques and musical instrument technology. Strong knowledge of instrument construction, materials, and repair techniques across several types of instruments. Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Familiarity with common tools and equipment used in instrument repair. Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Please apply with a resume.
