PRODUCT TEST AND REPAIR TECHNICIAN (PTRT)

Job Description:

Marathon Power, Inc. is seeking a Electrical/Electronics Technician. This is an entry level position for a junior PTRT who is responsible for performing product diagnosis, repairs and service. Candidates for this position should be excellent communicators, be detail-orientated and well-organized. Basic technical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot, resolve hardware and software issues, and effectively take instruction and direction from supervisors. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, hands-on skills, and effective communication abilities to ensure the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years of college education in a related field. An associate degree, engineering certification or apprenticeship as an electronic technician (or currently studying for it).
• Three (3) years of relevant experience in power electronics and circuitry is preferred.

Basic Qualifications and Requirements:

• Test, solder and troubleshoot PCB assemblies.
• Provide detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during functional test and assist/perform component-level troubleshooting.
• Ability to discuss problems (technical and process) encountered while testing/troubleshooting with supervisor and engineering staff.
• Assist with prototype product testing.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (e.g., PC-based), working knowledge of Adobe pdf suite (training may be provided).
• Fluent in

English:

Ability to read, write and speak English well and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

• Familiarity with various tools and equipment.
• Comfortable with physical work, able to handle products weighing up to 80lbs.
• A willingness to travel occasionally (a few days per month).

$30,000.00
