The ideal candidate should have some experience in the optical or optometry field, strong customer service skills, and the ability to help patients with frame selection, lens options, and front desk support. We are looking for someone who is not only organized and detail-oriented, but also comfortable talking to patients, recommending products, and helping increase optical sales. Korean-speaking ability is strongly preferred, as we serve many Korean-speaking patients. Responsibilities Greet patients and customers with a warm, professional, and positive attitude Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and optical product recommendations Provide excellent customer service and help patients feel comfortable with their purchase Support optical sales by explaining lens upgrades, coatings, contact lenses, and frame options Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out Perform basic optical insurance billing and claim submission for major vision plans, including VSP and EyeMed Verify patient eligibility, benefits, copays, allowances, and authorization requirements Understand and explain basic insurance coverage to patients in a clear and professional manner Help resolve basic billing or claim issues with insurance companies when needed Keep the optical area, front desk, and frame displays clean and organized Handle patient questions and concerns in a professional manner Work closely with doctors, managers, and team members to keep the office running smoothly Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies Qualifications Some experience as an optician, optical technician, or optometry receptionist preferred Strong sales and customer service skills Friendly, bright, and professional personality Korean-speaking ability strongly preferred Comfortable recommending products and explaining options to patients Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Able to multitask in a busy office environment Good communication skills, both verbal and written Experience with major vision insurance plans such as VSP and EyeMed preferred Ability to verify benefits, submit claims, and understand basic optical billing Familiarity with optical insurance billing, authorizations, and patient out-of-pocket estimates is a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, enjoys helping people, and is comfortable with both patient care and optical sales.
