Field Service Laboratory Repair Technician Southern California Scientific Orange, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off On-the-job training Tools provided Qualifications Centrifugation Interpersonal skills Driver's License Driving Trade school Full Job Description Centrifuge Instrument Technician Southern California Scientific, Inc has immediate opening for a Field Service Engineer/ Technician to work on Beckman, Sorvall, Eppendorf and other centrifuges in the Southern California area. Must have Centrifuge Repair experience. We install, repair, calibrate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment. Information about benefits will be shared during the interview. Job Description The candidate will have a combination of skills including verbal and written communication. Hands-on experience with (Motors, refrigeration, pumps, electrical circuits /systems etc.). Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair. Will not mind getting your hands (or gloves) dirty, possess engineer like discipline to find problems and solutions, are able to document your work in a professional way, take the time to learn about how things work and get to the bottom of a problem. Willing to learn and be mentored. Able to prioritize your workload and work well with a team and on your own. Responsibilities Repair circuit boards, motors and electrical systems Diagnose errors and problems with various instruments and equipment Follow complex procedures and document progress and outcomes Perform preventive maintenance on the scientific instruments Calibrate RPM, temperatures and other sensors Measure and calibrate power supplies Document time traveling and activities working on instruments Move large, heavy equipment the right way, on truck or trailer Set up sensitive equipment in customers locations Rebuild or repair broken instruments or parts in shop Clean and disinfect instrumentation Ability and desire to learn and work California Driver's License with Real ID and Good driving record
