You will perform a variety of mechanical and diagnostic tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections, using your technical expertise and knowledge of automotive systems. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements, according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines. 2. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with vehicles, including engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems, using diagnostic tools and equipment. 3. Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance services to customers. 4. Complete repairs and service orders efficiently and accurately, documenting work performed and parts used in accordance with dealership procedures. 5. Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation and identify any additional issues. 6. Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repair recommendations, provide cost estimates, and address any questions or concerns. 7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools, equipment, and service bays, to ensure efficiency and safety. 8. Stay informed about current automotive technology, diagnostic techniques, and manufacturer updates through training and continuing education. 9. Follow dealership and manufacturer guidelines for warranty repairs, recalls, and service campaigns, ensuring compliance with warranty and safety standards. 10. Collaborate with other technicians and service department staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
