We're firefighters, scientists, engineers, prescribed fire practitioners, ecologists, and community members who are answering the call to scale fuel treatment capacity. Our modern fuel treatment system recognizes and supports conservation efforts with a clean, smoke-free process. We need technology to amplify our workforces with targeted use of synthetic fire to treat fuel loads 10x faster than previously possible. The Role BurnBot is seeking a Manufacturing Service Technician to join our rapidly growing Manufacturing org. This role will play an integral role in building out a Manufacturing & Service department for Burnbot and enhance our mission. This role is a 90 day contract with an hourly rate of $40. Job Duties/Responsibilities Help with the development of manufacturing documentation and processes for BurnBot's RX system and future technologies Provide Design For Assembly input to the R D Team Conduct builds and service on BurnBot's RX units Travel with the Operations Team on certain jobs to perform in-field diagnosis and service when needed Perform mechanical, electrical, and software diagnosis on units returning for service Help manage the manufacturing and service inventory Perform outgoing quality checks after builds and service to enable clean handoffs to the Operations Team Practice 5S principles to enable an efficient, clean, and safe manufacturing space Comply with all state and federal regulations, safety or otherwise Maintain and promote a safe, productive and positive working environment Have a strong bias for action and the ability to execute assigned tasks with or without guidance Adapt to a fast changing environment and work priorities Have a desire to learn, ask questions and take on new responsibilities as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience with mechanical & electrical assembly and/or repair. Experience with automotive or heavy equipment assembly is a plus.
Proficiency in metal fabrication:
machining, welding, etc. Ability to perform basic electrical and software diagnosis and tasks. Soldering and running wire will be common tasks. Experience in assembling fluid/air plumbing and systems A desire to learn and take on new challenges and responsibilities Experience with 5S/Lean practices Valid Drivers License Physical ability to lift/push/pull weights of up to 50 lbs with regularity Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach, grasp and climb various surfaces and heights for 8+ hours per day Be able to commute to assigned job sites Ability to communicate effectively Passion for Burnbot's mission It would be cool if you… Have hands on experience with heavy machinery Have been involved in building out production lines for motor vehicles (EVs, cars, tractors, etc.) Have a high level of soldering skills Have experience with helping build out documentation Have experience in or knowledge of Forestry, Fire, or Fuels Mitigation industries etc. Still interested?
