ABOUT THE ROLE
The Field Service Technician 1 is responsible for performing on-site repairs, inspections, and maintenance of building products while ensuring safety, quality, and excellent customer service. This role provides hands-on experience in field operations, process adherence, and customer interaction, with opportunities to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to delivering reliable service in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Field Repairs & Adjustments:
Perform basic field repairs, including hardware and glass replacements, operational adjustments, and product inspections.Product Evaluations & Inspections:
Conduct on-site evaluations to assess product performance and identify repair needs.Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of glass, working at heights, and use of PPE; maintain and inspect safety equipment and first aid kits.Vehicle Operation & Maintenance:
Operate company vehicles safely, adhering to local laws, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliability.Inventory Management:
Manage tools and supplies inventory to maintain proper stock and organization.Customer Service & Communication:
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair issues and solutions, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.Travel:
Travel within assigned territory daily; overnight travel may be required depending on territory.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to complete precise repairs and inspections.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL
NEEDEducation:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.License:
Valid driver's license with ability to successfully clear an MVR check.Experience:
1-2 years of general construction or building material installation experience preferred.1-2 years of fenestration manufacturing or installation experience preferred.Technical Skills:
Basic computer skills (Outlook & CRM).Proficiency with hand and power tools. Additional InformationThe base salary range for this full-time position is $22/hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
