In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems across various property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal operation of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, building automation systems, and other mechanical systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead service efforts, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to the seamless functioning of critical building infrastructure. Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform electrical diagnostics utilizing tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot wiring issues and component failures. Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC equipment, and building automation systems to ensure safety and efficiency. Lead complex equipment repairs involving welding, mechanical system adjustments, or replacement of parts to restore optimal performance. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately identify issues and implement solutions. Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system updates for compliance and future reference. Support property maintenance operations by responding promptly to service requests related to air conditioning, refrigeration, or mechanical failures while ensuring adherence to safety standards such as EPA certifications. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R systems, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, or mechanical systems repair. Construction experience or prior work in property maintenance is highly desirable. Knowledge of HVAC design principles and building automation systems is essential. Valid EPA certification for refrigerants; additional certifications such as HVAC/R licenses are preferred. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair including boilers, ammonia refrigeration units, welding skills, and use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities; capable of working independently or leading a team in field service environments.
