Job Description
- Welding of aerospace components ranging from wire connections to component structure, according to work orders and technical documentation.
- Layout and plans sequence of welding subcomponent parts into final product.
- Involved in activities that include Tig, Plasma Arc, Silver Brazing operations.
- Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications, using various measuring equipment; calipers, ruler fitment gauges / fixtures.
- Performs electronic assembly operations such as wire termination, in accordance with work orders and technical documentation.
- Plans, fabricates, assembles, disassembles, sets up, tests, inspects, calibrates, troubleshoots, and repairs aerospace accessories and components.
- Verifies results to ensure conformance with all facility, agency and air carrier requirements.
- Completes associated documentation for all products that are repaired and returned to service.
- Other duties may be assigned or required. Qualifications
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience with machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, or electronics.
- Must read and write in English.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Welding experience using TIG, Oxy Acetylene, Plasma Arc and all forms of Brazing.
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Experience with test equipment (Multimeters, High Voltage electrical testers, frequency counter/conditioner) and welding equipment.
- Ability to read technical blueprints, technical manuals, and component maintenance manuals.
- Familiarity with FAA rules and regulations 14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65 and 145.
- Ability to use a variety of complex gages and equipment.
- Working knowledge of Lean techniques.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening process and become part of an ongoing random drug screening program.
Pay:
$26.50 - $33.50 per hourBenefits:
