Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and motivated Apprentice / Helper to join our team specializing in commercial doors and hardware installation. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of commercial doors, frames, hardware, and related fixtures on construction sites or remodeling projects Support skilled team members with tasks such as door hanging, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and cabinetry installation Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, assemble, and modify materials according to project specifications Perform heavy lifting of doors, hardware components, and construction materials to ensure smooth workflow Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to understand project requirements Help with fabrication tasks including metal work, welding, or custom modifications as directed by supervisors Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Skills Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures on construction sites Experience or familiarity with glass installation, locksmithing, or fixture setup is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday Mechanical aptitude with understanding of schematics and mechanical systems involved in door hardware Construction site experience or background in remodeling projects preferred Knowledge of blueprint reading and basic carpentry techniques such as trim carpentry or frame installation Willingness to learn welding techniques, electrical basics related to hardware systems, and fabrication processes This role provides a dynamic environment where you can develop essential skills in construction and hardware installation while contributing to impactful projects.
