Job Title:
Service Technician Job Description The Field Service Technician is responsible for supervising and performing the installation of equipment, providing start-up, testing, and training services, conducting inspections and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and assisting with upgrades of existing equipment. This role requires extensive travel within North America. Responsibilities Supervise the installation of new or rebuilt equipment and provide startup, testing, and training services. Perform inspection and preventive maintenance services on equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment. Assist in upgrading existing equipment. Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance, and servicing of customer equipment. Assist in developing or updating equipment operation, maintenance, and training materials. Assist in the development of detailed installation and field service plans to prepare schedules and understand requirements. Support the Field Service Manager, Project Manager, and Engineering Manager in providing additional customer services. Generate comprehensive daily field service reports in a detailed and professional manner. Essential Skills Electrical and mechanical skills Troubleshooting and repair expertise Field service and preventive maintenance proficiency Experience in equipment installation Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Engineering Technology Minimum 5 years' experience in technical support of industrial equipment Experience with PLC control systems and editing PLC ladder logic programming Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits, including high and low voltage systems Assertiveness in supervising third-party contractors Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency Ability to work well with others and hold a current driver's license Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time Why Work Here?
