In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability and performance of battery systems for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. This position offers hands-on experience with advanced battery technologies, opportunities for skill development, and the chance to work in a collaborative environment that values safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist with battery replacements and new installations for UPS systems. Support preventative and scheduled maintenance of batteries with minimal disruption to customers. Maintain a clean and organized job site during all service activities. Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external customers to ensure high-quality service delivery. Follow operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance. Adhere strictly to facility work rules and safety protocols. Utilize hand tools and general maintenance equipment as required. Assist with tasks in other service divisions, such as Switch Gear, Operations, and HVAC, as needed. Work from schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions to complete assignments. Learn and apply procedures for disconnecting and connecting sealed batteries in cabinets and open racks. Gain experience in building battery racks and spill containment systems, and installing batteries in critical spaces. Enter pre-installation test readings and collect data from maintenance services using a laptop computer. Develop skills in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs for DC battery systems with increasing independence. Participate in warehouse operations as needed. Travel approximately 30% or more for service assignments. Perform other duties as assigned by Services Management. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of or willingness to learn AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry. Ability to safely operate department equipment and use hand tools. Familiarity with or willingness to learn the use of digital multimeters, amp clamps, and battery testing equipment. Understanding of or willingness to learn proper use of isolation devices, arc-flash suits, and PPE. Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Ability to work from diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. OSHA 10-hour certification and
