Job Description

Join us as a Service Technician is our Manufactured Homes Department. A Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the community and ensuring quality service to residents to meet and in accordance with the goals and standards set forth by management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete resident requested service orders properly and on a timely basis. Troubleshoots, diagnosis and performs minor electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, etc. Troubleshoots, diagnosis and performs basic plumbing repairs such as cleaning stoppages and replacing fixtures. Replaces broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, window coverings and locks. Paints, interior and exterior. Performs finish carpentry work. Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment based on manufacturers recommendations and operating manuals. Periodically inspect units, buildings, and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial assistance as needed. Has knowledge regarding water cutoffs, all rental unit and fixture cutoffs and sewer clean-outs. Re-keys locks and cuts keys. Participates with the on-call responsibilities and assignments. Required to assist and work in other areas as needed to include groundskeeping, janitorial, custodial, snow removal, etc. Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner. Additional tasks/duties as assigned by management. Additional Responsibilities On-Call required occasional overtime required Education and/or Experience Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year of residential maintenance experience Must possess valid driver's license General knowledge of and skill in a variety of semi-skilled building maintenance and repair practices and techniques Skill in the use of tools and equipment of the trade Skills in inspecting and adjusting, repairs and replacements to units Competencies Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively. Ability to apply quality and safety standards. Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with residents, supervisors, employees, and vendors. Physical Demands Heavy climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Must be able to lift fifty pounds. Work Environment Duties usually performed indoors and frequently outdoors in all conditions. •Reybold is an Equal Opportunity Employer•
