Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in marine systems and a strong work ethic. This is a flex position requiring work in the shop as well as the field, so professionalism and independence are key.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair inboard and outboard marine engines Install and service marine electronics (navigation, communication, audio, etc.) Troubleshoot and repair marine plumbing systems (freshwater, bilge, sanitation) Install and repair hydraulic and mechanical steering systems Perform regular maintenance and inspections Conduct mobile service calls at marinas, docks, and customer sites Maintain clean, organized tools and workspaces Communicate clearly with customers and office staff
Qualifications:
Prior experience in marine systems repair and installation Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems specific to boats Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Valid driver's license and clean driving record ABYC or manufacturer certifications a plus (but not required) Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and on or around water
