Job Description Renewal by Andersen of Greater Des Moines, a premier replacement window and door company, is seeking an experienced In-Home Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide professional service and repair support for homeowners with previously installed windows and doors. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates clearly with customers, and delivers exceptional results with integrity and professionalism. Field position with a Monday through Thursday schedule, starting at 7:00 AM, with 10-hour shifts. Responsibilities and Duties Assess homeowner concerns with patience, diagnose service needs, and determine the appropriate corrective action. Evaluate window and door performance using a strong understanding of proper installation methods and product functionality. Complete repairs efficiently and ensure all service issues are resolved correctly. Deliver courteous, professional, and superior customer service during every appointment. Accurately complete service documentation, paperwork, and related records. Perform additional service, repair, and support tasks as needed. Work closely with installers, project managers, and back office to resolve issues. Qualifications and Skills Knowledge of residential construction practices, materials, and jobsite expectations. Four or more years of residential construction, window and door installation, or related repair experience preferred. Proven record of high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with a strong work ethic. Ability to comfortably lift at least 75 lbs. Must be comfortable with ladders/heights. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license required. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening.
