Service Technician - Jerome, ID Opportunity with Mountain View Equipment Full Job Description Mountain View Equipment Company has been a trusted name in farm equipment for over 50 years. With four locations across Idaho and Washington, we take pride in providing our customers top-tier agricultural equipment and exceptional service. We are hiring an experienced Service Technician for our Jerome, Idaho location, who is a self-motivated, hands-on individual with a passion for providing excellent service in the agriculture industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on a wide range of equipment, including customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural, commercial landscape, and outdoor power equipment utilizing both basic and advanced diagnostic skills to ensure effective repair and maintenance. Maintain current knowledge of CLAAS, MacDon, and Oxbo equipment as well as competitive products Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment Travel to the job site to work on equipment and well-performing repairs in a shop setting Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Account for all time on repair order and for all material used in performing assigned duties Provide excellent customer service Other duties as assigned by Management Qualifications & Experience 1+ years of experience performing diesel engine repairs, small engine repairs and/or equivalent educational experience Knowledge of and ability to diagnose, repair and maintain Tractors, Combines, and Forage Harvesters preferred A High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures of Agricultural equipment Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Physically able to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods. Able to work longer hours in the busy seasons Strong time management and communication skills Basic data entry, customer service, and phone skills
