Service Technician Job Description We are seeking skilled Service Technicians to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role involves a mix of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and fabrication/welding tasks. Technicians will assist in the production, assembly, and maintenance of custom mechanic trucks, service bodies, and more, ensuring high-quality installations and repairs. Responsibilities Assist in the production, assembly, and maintenance of custom mechanics trucks, lube trucks, service bodies, truck-mounted cranes, and other equipment. Perform installation of vehicle service beds, wiring, troubleshooting, and installation of hydraulic components. Conduct custom metal fabrication and installation tasks with precision. Read and interpret blueprints for effective assembly and repairs. Conduct vehicle inspections, including DOT and annual boom inspections. Perform installations of flatbeds, service bodies, lift axles, crane kits, dump bodies, and lube systems. Install hydraulic components such as PTOs, hydraulic pumps, and 3-line hydraulic systems. Fabricate metal using techniques such as MIG, wire-feed, air arc, and plasma cutting. Physically maneuver under and around vehicles, completing welding and wiring tasks. Essential Skills Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively. Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. Knowledge of basic chassis wiring and installation skills. Fabrication and welding expertise, particularly in metal fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications AA degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience. Experience with diesel engine and schematics assembly. Skills in troubleshooting and repair services. The standard work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm, with occasional adjustments to accommodate workload. Weekends are rarely required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
