We are mission-driven and passionate about helping people. This role starts as part-time with the potential to grow into full-time as our business expands. The ideal candidate is a technician, handyman or carpenter who learns quickly, takes pride in their work, and can work independently in customers' homes while representing the Next Day Access brand with professionalism and care. The Technician will perform installations and maintenance of accessibility equipment, including stairlifts, ramps, vertical platform lifts, and more, in residential and commercial settings. The role combines hands-on mechanical work with excellent customer service and communication skills. From wheelchair ramps and stairlifts to grab bars and bath remodels, our team delivers trusted products and personalized service designed to meet every customer's unique needs. We take pride in improving lives through quality installations, reliable service, and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities Install and service lifts, ramps and other equipment according to specifications and safety standards. Deliver top-tier customer service Build decks and concrete pads for platform lifts Troubleshoot technical issues (training is provided) Maintain a clean, organized workspace and vehicle Provide in-home technical assistance Safely operate the company vehicle and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring satisfaction and professionalism on every visit. Assist in maintaining warehouse inventory and operations. Prepare job layouts, measurements, and materials lists. Maintain accurate documentation for work orders, inventory, and daily activity reports. Follow safety procedures, company policies, and local, state, and federal compliance requirements. Occasional overnight travel may be required for training. Requirements Construction experience and carpentry skills; proficiency with power tools Experience in home and bath remodeling preferred Elevator experience is a plus Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and perform physical work in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background and drug screening. Strong technical aptitude and comfort using company sales and tracking software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time independently. Personable, trustworthy, and respectful, someone who builds a good rapport with our customers. Willingness to learn and grow with a new, expanding business.
