Black, Inc. , an office technology company providing solutions to organizations across Oklahoma & Kansas, is seeking a Service Technician in our Kansas City, Kansas office. Want to be part of a fun, growing team? We are searching for a Service Technician to join our Service team. This in-house position is responsible for ensuring that new equipment is set-up properly, ready to WOW our clients! The shop will hum with efficiency as you monitor the flow of equipment received, set-up, and then prepared for delivery. You'll keep up to date with new innovations in our marketplace, and continually achieve service goals. Sound like the right career for you?……if so, read on! Requirements Two-year electronics degree or equivalent military / industry experience Mechanically inclined Knowledge of basic computer skills and network applications Two-years' customer service experience 21 Years of Age with Valid Kansas Driver's License The Job Perform set-up of new office equipment including pre-install checks and programming pre-sets Recondition and sanitize used equipment Troubleshoot equipment failures and resolve the issue quickly and completely Effectively manage workflow process to maximize efficiency; ensure that the right equipment is ready at the right time Effectively communicate with purchasing & delivery departments, service department, and sales to prioritize daily workload Achieve assigned performance standards on a consistent basis Acquire the appropriate training certifications through self-paced, web-based or remote class methods Work independently, using a variety of hand tools and testing equipment Complete & maintain appropriate paperwork as required for the task at hand Provide back-up for warehouse personnel as required Deliver parts or supplies to clients or technicians as needed Represent R.K. Black, Inc. with the utmost honesty & integrity Qualities Required Innovate - develop new procedures to maximize department capabilities Personify friendliness and exhibit ability to get along with others Demonstrate a desire / urgency to accomplish tasks Possess exceptional organizational skills Possess a valid Driver's License with clear driving record Communicate clearly in verbal and written English Physical Requirements Able to stand, bend over, squat or sit for prolonged periods of time Able to use hands to work with tools, handle and feel for objects and controls Able to carry tool kit, and other accessories up and down stairs
Wage :
Commensurate with experience
Benefits :
Available after 2 full months of employment (Health & Dental Plan, 401k)
