Properly install new lighting systems, signage, and related electrical components according to specifications, blueprints, and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintenance & Repairs :
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as well as unscheduled repairs on existing lighting and signage systems.
LED Conversions :
Lead or assist with energy-efficient LED retrofit projects, including fixture upgrades, driver replacements, and lighting control system integrations.
Emergency Repairs :
Respond promptly to emergency service calls, diagnose issues quickly, and restore functionality with minimal downtime for clients.
Troubleshooting :
Accurately diagnose electrical, mechanical, and structural problems in lighting and signage equipment.
Safety Compliance :
Strictly adhere to all
OSHA, NEC
(National Electrical Code), and company safety standards. Ensure all work is performed safely and that job sites are left clean and hazard-free.
Documentation :
Complete detailed service reports, maintenance logs, inventory records, and time entries for every job.
Customer Service :
Interact professionally with clients on-site, explain technical issues in clear terms, and provide recommendations for system improvements.
Inventory & Tools :
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in excellent condition. Monitor and report inventory needs.
Team Collaboration :
Work closely with the installation and sales teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician, electrician, or in a similar hands-on technical role (lighting or signage experience strongly preferred). Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, transformers, ballasts, and LED technology. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Comfort working at heights (ladders, lifts, bucket trucks) and in various outdoor and indoor environments. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Preferred Qualifications Electrical license or apprenticeship training (helpful but not always required).
