\$45k- \$75k YEARLY HelixBind is a dynamic, early-stage medical device company seeking an energetic and highly motivated Engineering Service Technician to play a critical role in the development and field success of our life-saving diagnostic platforms.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Build, commission, and maintain medical diagnostic instruments both in-house and at strategic vendor or customer sites.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Group to analyze and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and optical, challenges.
- Execute rigorous verification procedures to ensure every instrument build meets defined standards.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance (PM) activities on internal and external equipment.
- Represent HelixBind on-site at customer facilities, serving as a professional technical face of the company while performing repairs and ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Construct custom test fixtures and provide data-driven feedback to the design team to drive continuous product improvement.
- Take a lead role in developing comprehensive maintenance protocols and designing the preventative maintenance schedules that will support our install base.
- Maintain and update user manuals and maintenance documentation within the document control system to ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 820 and
ISO 13485.
- Contribute to other tasks and projects as required to support the company\'s objectives.
Education, Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- 2-10 years of experience in the installation and repair of complex electro-mechanical parts.
- Associate?s degree in a technical field or equivalent trade school certification; relevant military or specialized field experience is highly valued.
- Strong proficiency with electronic and mechanical assembly tools, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clinical partners.
- Familiarity with Class II medical devices, 21 CFR 820.
