Job Objective:

Looking to hire a full-time knowledgeable bicycle mechanic for a year-round fast paced industry leading bicycle business. Bikeway has been serving the Massachusetts South Shore for almost 50 years. We are well established in our new location in Hanover, MA. We work on all levels of bikes and have a strong belief that everyone can ride a bike. Bikeway is known throughout the surrounding community as their go-to shop for great friendly service and expert repair techniques. Mechanic's will be responsible for delivering professional customer support, high quality repairs and use the most advanced tools in the industry today to repair some of the best brands available. Job is for a part time seasonal position. Ideally looking for someone who can commit to the 2026 summer season Sign on bonus of $500 paid out after working 90 consistent days after being hired. Pay rate of $20-$25 per hour based on skill level and experience. Pay rate will increase yearly based on overall performance.

Responsibilities:

• Repair bikes of all quality levels.
• Perform accurate estimates to bikes that come in for repair
• Answer all customers questions thoroughly and to the best of your capability
• Work well with other employees
• Use a POS system to enter customer data
• Fill out repair orders completely and accurately
• Preform an assessment of every bike during repair to give customer feedback on condition of their bicycle
• Manage inventory levels
• Assemble new bikes to get ready to sell
• Service new and used bicycles of all technology
• Be knowledgeable and well versed on new products we sell
• Stay current with trainings and what's NEW in the bicycle industry
• Provide a great customer experience to all customers and skill levels Requirements
• 2+ years previous bike repair experience
• 2+ years previous retail sales experience
• Attentive to detail and quality of work
• Computer experience
• Interested in learning and progressing in the bicycle industry
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Experience bleeding brakes
• Experience working on suspension
• Experience upgrading and building new bikes
