Job Description

We are hiring a reliable and skilled Home Repair Technician for a home service company to support residential clients with a range of repair and maintenance needs. This role involves traveling to client homes, identifying and documenting potential issues and concerns, and taking the necessary steps to address a variety of small- to medium-scale repairs. Candidates must have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients — explaining the issue, setting expectations, and making sure they feel confident in the work performed. We're looking for someone who is dependable, solution-oriented, and takes pride in their work. The right candidate is comfortable working independently, communicating well with clients, and represents the company in a professional and trustworthy way at all times. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of minor home repairs and maintenance tasks, including: Mounting TVs, shelves, and fixtures Basic drywall repair and painting (interior/exterior touch-ups) Minor plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing fixtures) Basic electrical work (e.g., replacing outlets, light fixtures) Door, window, and hardware repairs Caulking, sealing, and general home upkeep Assess job requirements and communicate clearly with clients about scope and timelines Maintain a clean and safe work environment in clients' homes Travel to job sites and arrive on time as scheduled Track completed work, materials used, and time spent on each job Provide excellent customer service, maintain a professional presence, and represent the company positively in all client interactions Qualifications Prior experience in home repair, maintenance, construction, or related field General knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Comfortable working in occupied residential environments Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Experience working in a handyman, maintenance, or construction role OSHA or other safety certifications Experience interacting directly with clients or customers Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Why this Role?
