00 per hour, plus performance bonuses About the Opportunity A well-established specialty equipment retailer and service provider in the Greater Baltimore area is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, mechanical repair, electronics, and helping customers keep their equipment operating at peak performance. We service a wide range of sewing, quilting, embroidery, and specialty equipment for hobbyists, professionals, and small businesses throughout the region. Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair sewing, embroidery, quilting, and related equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and preventative service
  • Identify worn or defective components and complete repairs efficiently
  • Test machines following repairs to ensure proper operation and quality standards
  • Document repairs, parts used, and service recommendations
  • Assist customers by explaining repair findings and maintenance recommendations
  • Maintain an organized work area and parts inventory
  • Stay current on new equipment technologies and repair procedures through ongoing training Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience repairing mechanical, electrical, or computerized equipment preferred
  • Experience with sewing, embroidery, quilting, vacuum, appliance, electronics, automotive, or small engine repair is highly desirable
  • Ability to learn new technologies and repair procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs What We Offer
