Service Technician

CHUTES International is looking for a hands‑on PM Technician to help service and maintain chutes, compactors, balers, dock levelers, and related equipment. This is an active, entry‑level field role with steady hours, on‑the‑job training, and a supportive team. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair compactors, balers, dock levelers, and similar equipment Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on chutes, compactors, and containers Read and apply basic electrical schematics Complete site surveys and assist with small project estimates Maintain service records and technician paperwork Drive and care for a company service truck Provide friendly, professional customer service Participate in alternating on‑call rotation (overtime common during emergencies) What You Need Basic electrical or hydraulic knowledge Problem‑solving ability and mechanical aptitude Clear communication and customer‑service mindset Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in tight/dirty spaces At least 1 year of related experience or training Helpful Extras (Not Required) Experience repairing electrical/hydraulic equipment Field‑service or construction background Welding ability Experience training or mentoring others Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance (CHUTES pays 50% of premiums + covers the deductible) Weekly pay Paid vacation after 90 days (increases with tenure) 7 paid sick days per year (rollover allowed) 8 hours of paid charity leave per year 401(k) with up to 4% company match (after 6 months) Paid holidays + company closure Christmas week Optional gym membership at 50% off Ready to get started?
