Job description:
We are hiring a Second Shift Optics Technician (2pm-10pm). No experience is necessary- we will train the right individual! At Observable Space, we produce world-class telescopes, and those telescopes need superior mirrors. Come join our dynamic team of Opticians, and work in a fast-paced, friendly environment. The ideal candidate will be able to: Stand for long periods of time Lift up to 30lbs Listen and take instruction Maintain a clean working area The ideal candidate must possess: A positive attitude A willingness to work as part of a team Excellent communication skills A detail-oriented mind-set Ability to perform simple math calculations Job Responsibilities (We will train in all aspects): Inspection of incoming glass Inspection of glass throughout the manufacturing process Inspect mirrors for scratches and other blemishes Production of mirrors Operation of optics machines Completion of inspection forms
