Job Description

  • Job Title:
  • Advanced Electronics Repair Technician
  • Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of PCBs and perform timely repairs.
  • Utilize scopes for root cause analysis and repair of PC boards.
  • Remove and install IC components on PCB boards, including SMT components, with an understanding of resistor values.
  • Perform board-level component replacement to achieve low fallout.
  • Read and create sketches to illustrate design details that meet functional criteria of electronic units.
  • Build, maintain, and repair test fixtures specific to board-level issues.
  • Construct experimental, prototype, and production wire harnesses as needed for board-level repair cells.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype models based on engineering instructions and technical manuals.
  • Analyze and interpret test data, adjust and modify circuitry and components, and record effects on unit performance.
  • Write technical reports, and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to illustrate system operating characteristics and functional limitations for engineering review.

  • $25•35/hr (depending on experience) •
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in electronics, with proficiency in programming, reading, and communicating with chips.
  • Experience with PCB board diagnostics.
  • Minimum of 5 years of soldering experience.
  • Proficiency in soldering, electronic assembly, PCB repair, and electronic repair.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.00
  • $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
