Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Marine Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of marine equipment and vessels. Your expertise will ensure that all marine systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong mechanical and electrical background with a passion for marine environments. Duties Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine vessels and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized fabrication techniques Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately Conduct electrical troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; solder connections as needed Fabricate and modify sheet metal components or assemblies to meet specific project requirements Utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers for accurate component fitting and alignment Assist with rigging operations, including lifting heavy components safely using appropriate rigging techniques Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs performed Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction Support vessel assembly or disassembly processes with mechanical knowledge and attention to detail Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks related to marine transport equipment to ensure safety standards are met Experience Proven service technician experience in the marine industry or related fields such as heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential Experience with rigging, welding (including sheet metal welding), soldering, and fabrication processes Ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, soldering irons, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments confidently Background in military service or similar disciplined environments is a plus due to the emphasis on safety protocols and technical skills Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety guidelines Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication Join us in delivering top-tier marine services that keep vessels operating smoothly while providing an engaging work environment where your skills make a real difference!
