Marine Service Technician

Busy marine dealership in Lapeer Michigan is looking for a motivated and qualified individual to join our team as a Marine Technician. Chapman's Sports Center is a family owned and operated business since 1971 with a well established customer base. We have an immediate opening for an experienced individual to join our service team for marine products. This person will show commitment to quality, and be dedicated to performing the job correctly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades in a timely, competent and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Coordinate with Parts, Sales and Service Departments to ensure all customer concerns are prioritized and addressed in an appropriate manner. Accurately document all service work performed including parts used, labor hours and other important details. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ensure all safety protocols are being followed when working to promote a safe working environment. Attend or participate in service schools to maintain or acquire certification and require continuous education requirements. Stay updated on trends, tools and technologies related to work. Assist with work events/shows as needed. Communicate with customer when necessary regarding work performed Must have own tools. Skills Understanding of electrical systems and wiring. Verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to communicate with our customers and associates in a professional manner. Ability to work independently as well as a team in a fast paced environment. Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Strong attention to detail. Coachable. Willing to accept education from management and peers. Compensation will be based on knowledge and experience.
