About the Role As a Field Service Technician specializing in commercial entry systems, you will be the primary point of contact for ensuring the operational integrity and security of facility access points. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude to diagnose complex issues, perform precision installations, and deliver high-quality maintenance solutions that keep businesses running smoothly. Responsibilities Execute the installation and repair of diverse commercial door systems, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Perform detailed diagnostic assessments on hardware, including springs, hinges, and automated locking mechanisms, to restore functionality. Configure and integrate sophisticated access control hardware and door closers to meet specific site security requirements. Verify that all completed work adheres strictly to local building codes and safety regulations. Deliver exceptional client experiences by clearly explaining technical solutions and providing proactive maintenance recommendations. Document all service activities and site modifications to maintain accurate facility records. Conduct rigorous quality assurance inspections to guarantee that every installation meets high-performance standards. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in the safe operation of various hand and power tools. Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate fractions and utilize measuring tools with high precision. Physical capability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in various positions for extended durations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Skills Two or more years of hands-on experience in the commercial door or hardware service industry. In-depth knowledge of various door brands, storefront glazing, and industrial dock equipment. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical or electrical door-related failures. Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and professional workmanship.
