Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Marine Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of marine equipment. This position operates primarily in the field, traveling to customer locations such as marinas, docks, and private residences. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on boats and marine systems Service and repair outboard, inboard, and sterndrive engines Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, impellers, winterization, etc.) Install and repair marine accessories (electronics, pumps, controls, etc.) Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, timelines, and repair costs Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately Maintain service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory Follow all safety procedures and company standards Qualifications 2+ years of marine or small engine repair experience (preferred) Strong working knowledge of marine engines and systems Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues independently Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Basic computer or mobile app skills for service documentation Preferred Experience Experience servicing major outboard brands including Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, and Suzuki Marine technician certification (a plus) Experience with rigging, controls, and marine electronics Welding or fabrication experience (a plus) Work Environment Mobile, field-based position Work performed at marinas, boatyards, and residential docks Exposure to varying weather conditions Physical work including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
