Job Description
Greenline Services Inc. is seeking to fill twelve (12) temporary, full-time seasonal Winter Services Technician positions for October 1, 2026 to April 15, 2027.
Worksite:
1970 Brinston Dr, Troy MI 48083 and multiple sites in Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, St. Clair, Lapeer counties in Michigan.
Job Duties:
Employees will keep the outside of both private commercial buildings (office buildings, retail centers, etc.) and residential buildings in clean and orderly condition by removing snow and leaves from sidewalks, driveways, yards, or parking areas, using snow shovels, snow blowers, leaf blowers, rakes, ice chippers, or salt spreaders; gather and empty trash and debris by hand or with a trash picker; fall/winter storm cleanup including clearing debris from grounds; and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. May be asked to drive a crew vehicle to job sites if the worker already possesses a valid, noncommercial driver's license; however, a driver's license is not a condition of employment. Workers will not be required to operate a snow plow. Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools when not in use. Additionally, will perform support duties to assist painters indoors. Clean work areas and equipment. Apply protective coverings, such as masking tape, to articles or areas that could be damaged or stained by work processes. Supply or hold tools and materials. Smooth surfaces of articles to be painted, using sanding and buffing tools and equipment.
Requirements:
No education or experience required.
Special Requirements:
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual, physical labor outside during all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.). Drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers postaccident as required by insurance at no cost to workers.
Terms and conditions of employment:
$19.93/hour, 35 hours/week, Overtime available at $29.90 per hour. Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-4:30PM. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employees will be paid weekly on Friday. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. On the job training available. Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Workers will travel from the worksite address to client properties throughout the area of intended employment to perform services. Workers will be transported to daily worksite to client properties and will be transported back to the worksite at the end of the workday. Employer (ER) will make all deductions from employee's (EE) paycheck required by law and no others without EE consent. ER does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Potential elective deductions to be pre-authorized in writing if applicable are as follows: ?if needed, ER will assist in arranging optional EE-paid lodging for hired foreign and nonlocal
U.S. EE. ER
will deduct for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and utilities based on # of occupants for EE who voluntarily elect to live in ER-offered housing. ER will offer daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-up place at a cost of up to $20/week per EE. Use of this transportation is voluntary. ER provides first set of uniforms at no cost to EE. Additional uniforms are optional and available for purchase by the EE and may be payroll deducted. EEs accrue 1 hr pd sick leave per 30 hrs worked, max 72 hrs/yr per MI Earned Sick Time Act. Sick LV can be used after 90 days. The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the US or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of employment. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Three-fourths guarantee:
The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Tools, equipment and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
