Job Title:
Service Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to perform MIG wire feed welding on galvanized, steel hollow metal door frames. The role involves working in the field, welding on doors and hinges, upgrading existing systems, and installing new ones. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing existing systems, working on 3-5 jobs per day. Our client base includes schools, hospitals, retail stores, and restaurants, and there is a significant customer-service aspect to this position. Responsibilities Perform MIG wire feed welding on galvanized, steel hollow metal door frames. Work in the field, welding on doors and hinges. Upgrade existing systems and install new systems. Maintain, troubleshoot, and service existing systems as needed. Handle 3-5 jobs per day across various client sites. Provide excellent customer service to clients. Essential Skills Experience in troubleshooting and servicing systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Skill in MIG welding and wire feed techniques. Experience in field service, particularly with hollow metal doors. Capability to install and troubleshoot systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred experience in MIG wire feed and welding on hollow metal door frames and galvanized steel. Required experience in installing or troubleshooting commercial doors. Nice to have experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Low voltage experience is an advantage. Experience in installing hardware, electronics, and control systems is beneficial. Customer service experience is essential. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a family-owned business with a tight-knit group where the owner personally knows each employee. Expect to work from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential additional hours, totaling 40-45 hours per week. The role involves field service work, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
