Job Description
Job Overview Fireside Hearth and Home Shop in Murphy, NC or Blue Ridge, GA is looking for an installation and service tech to support our growing fireplace, hearth and grill business. We are known for having the "friendly fireplace folks" and we maintain a positive team environment where everyone is treated with respect and offered the opportunity for career advancement. Installation and Service Technician Responsibilities Fireplace installations (requires heavy lifting at times) Service/install/update showroom floor display models Roof and ladder work installing chimney pipe Chimney Sweeps General gas & wood fireplace/service Installing gas logs, basic vent free boxes & wall heaters Assisting customers and installers with product troubleshooting Visiting customer homes for product installation and quote refinement Warehouse functions include inventory, shipping, receiving, and organizing customer purchases according to the installation schedule Operating the forklift for product delivery into warehouse Qualifications Strong work ethic and ability to learn with on the job training. Problem solving - desire to get the job done and overcome challenges Ability to operate a forklift LP gas service experience a plus Construction experience a plus (knowledge of framing) Previous fireplace/hearth installation/service a plus Salary Range posted: Based on experience level. Candidates with no experience will also be considered as long as they are willing to learn on the job with experienced installers and start at a lower wage until their contribution level meets expectations.
