Full Job Description Job Responsibilities:
Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air-conditioning, etc. Perform multi-point inspections Executes the service SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) at all times. Utilizes AutoPoint and keeps all repair orders up to date and strives to maintain at least two recommendations per vehicle. Fix the vehicle right the first time! Make quality checks after each repair. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers, providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Clock on and off all repair orders as required Learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to keep up with rapidly changing technology Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Adhere to company regulations and keep abreast of recalls, updates, and bulletins. Reports machinery malfunctions or defects to supervisor. Ensure the customer's vehicles are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or conditions of the vehicles. Input all vehicle recommendations and complete check sheets in MPI Find pricing and availability of needed parts in the 'notes' section in MPI Report any safety issues to management and ensure a clean working areaJob Qualifications:
At least 2 years of mechanical experience required Manufacture certification is a plus but not required. We train and grow our own! Excellent communication service skills and essential computer skills. Team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
