Role Description The Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Union, Nebraska. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing boat lifts and docks in the field, often working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and structural issues, performing routine maintenance, conducting safety checks, and completing repairs on-site at customer locations. The Service Technician will load, transport, and set up equipment, use hand and power tools, and ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards. The role also involves communicating with customers, explaining work performed, answering basic product questions, and representing the company with professionalism and integrity on every job. Qualifications Strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including routine upkeep and mechanical adjustments of boat lifts and docks. Demonstrated Troubleshooting ability to diagnose issues efficiently and identify effective solutions in the field. Field Service experience or aptitude, including working on-site at customer locations and managing tools, equipment, and job logistics. Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen to customer needs, and maintain a professional, respectful demeanor. General Maintenance skills and comfort working with hand and power tools, basic electrical or mechanical systems, and outdoor environments. Valid driver's license to be able to drive to job sites within the service area. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working on or near the water in various weather conditions. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in marine, construction, or mechanical trades is a plus but not required. Commitment to safety, reliability, teamwork, and learning new skills with on-the-job training provided.
