  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional repair, and technical support.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining outdoor power equipment in a timely and professional manner. This role supports customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is serviced accurately, safely, and efficiently while working closely with the service writer. The Service Technician contributes to a well-organized shop environment and helps maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on gasoline and battery-powered outdoor power equipment. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, pumps, chainsaws, and related power equipment; according to dealership standards. Accurately document service work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs. Communicate repair needs, timelines, and recommendations to service writer or management. Interpret schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting. Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety compliance. Follow manufacturer guidelines, service manuals, and safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate with the service writer to identify and obtain necessary replacement parts. Assist with equipment setup, inspection, and seasonal preparation. Support shop organization. Participate in training related to new equipment, tools, or procedures as required. Assist with occasional customer questions related to equipment operation or maintenance. Other duties as assigned.

Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in small engine repair, mechanics, or related field preferred. Experience Previous experience repairing outdoor power equipment, small engines, or similar mechanical systems preferred. Experience in a service or repair shop environment a plus. Proven Skills Mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and follow service manuals and technical documentation. Demonstrated Skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong safety awareness and adherence to shop procedures.
