$18-$45/hr (Based on experience) + Performance Bonuses Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vessels and marine systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows engines, electrical, and mechanical systems—and takes pride in getting the job done right the first time. If you're the type who doesn't need babysitting, understands urgency, and can operate independently in a fast-paced service environment, we want to talk. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair gas and diesel marine engines (inboard, outboard, sterndrive) Perform maintenance and repair on electrical systems, HVAC, fuel systems, and plumbing Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently Conduct routine service: oil changes, impellers, filters, tune-ups Install and service marine components and accessories Complete service reports and communicate clearly with management and clients Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Perform both in-shop and dockside/mobile service work Requirements 3+ years experience as a marine technician or similar mechanical role Strong knowledge of marine engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta, Yanmar preferred) Electrical troubleshooting experience (12V/24V systems) Ability to work independently without constant supervision Valid driver's license (clean record preferred) Own basic tools (specialty tools are a plus) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in marine environments Preferred (Not Required, But Valued) Certifications (ABYC, Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo, etc.) Experience with diagnostic software and modern marine electronics Welding, fabrication, or fiberglass repair experience Experience with commercial vessels or larger yachts Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly pay ($18-$45/hr based on skill level) Performance bonuses Steady, year-round work Access to a full-service yard with lift and equipment Who This Role Is For This is for a technician who: Moves fast and works clean Takes ownership of their work Doesn't make excuses—solves problems Wants to be part of a serious operation, not a slow shop
