Job Description

Maximus is currently seeking a Senior Technician
  • Field Services.
This is an onsite role based out of our Albany, NY office location and is expected to be in the office 5 days a week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, resolve technical issues for local and remote staff
  • Become the subject matter expert for various software applications and end point configurations for the business
  • Conduct routine equipment servicing out in the field
  • Perform on-site activities related to installation, repair, management and maintenance
  • Track IT Assets and maintain updated information in the appropriate ITAM database
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution within the established SLAs of the business
  • Work with other IT departments and vendors to resolve technical issues or implement new technologies for different lines of business
  • Perform technology upgrades and refreshes
  • Perform work via IT ticketing system to assist customers in person, over the phone, chat, and remotely
  • Assist in tracking and completing tickets pertaining to application, network, and system issues
  • Administer user accounts and permissions to various applications
  • Serve as technical liaison between program staff and IT
  • Provides assistance and training to lower-level support staff. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strong IT support professional with experience supporting Windows 10/Office 365 environments, VoIP systems, Microsoft technologies, and virtualized environments (vCenter/vSphere)
  • Skilled in hardware and network support, including desktops, laptops, routers, switches, wireless devices, print servers, and telecom systems
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, PowerApps, and Python, with experience using MECM, Wireshark, and software compliance scanning
  • Experienced working with third-party vendors such as Dell and Microsoft, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and producing thorough documentation
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in fast-paced environments, including after-hours and rotating shift support. Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements
