The title for this position will be determined by experience of the candidate. Primary duties include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Assists in repairing broken water/sewer mains, replaces defective pumps, meters and controls.
- Assists in the installation of water service taps, hydrants and repairs, paints and maintains hydrants;
- Checks complaints on sewer backups, pump station failures, broken pipes, high or low pressure, water meter readings, etc.;
- Assists in the cutting, threading and fitting of pipes in extending utility service pumps;
- Operates a vehicle and motor equipment and uses power and hand tools;
- Responds at all times to emergency repair calls.
- Provides traffic control and employee safety at work site;
- Keeps and maintains the facilities inside and out in a proper manner.
