SEWER AND DRAIN TECHNICIAN

NYM Group is a stable, growing, and professional Commercial Maintenance and Management company currently seeking a Full-Time Sewer and Drain Technician to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the region with a reputable and expanding organization. Job Responsibilities

• Remove roots, debris, and other blockages from clogged sewer lines and drains using portable electric sewer cleaning machines.
• Position or disassemble sewer trap machines at drain outlets and remove drain covers as needed.
• Install rotary knives on flexible cables according to pipe diameter and contour.
• Operate machines to feed and retract cables, inspecting residue for signs of damage or breaks in lines.
• Measure and locate breaks or blockages using plumbing snakes or other tools.
• Excavate and repair broken or damaged sections of underground piping.
• Perform replacements using proper sealing materials to ensure watertight joints.
• Restore work areas, replace earth, and ensure site cleanliness.
• Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools.
• Provide cost estimates for services when required.
• Assist in cleaning sewage collection points and sanitary lines as needed. Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning or related field.
• Valid and clean driver's license required.
• Must have flexible availability and be willing to work overtime when necessary.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must have a reliable smartphone for communication and job tracking.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow established procedures.
• Professional attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A VALID/CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE

Physical Demands:

This position requires heavy physical effort including lifting, moving, and pulling materials over 80 pounds. Work may be performed in varying weather conditions and around noise, dust, heat, oil, and heavy equipment. Proper PPE will be provided and required at all times.
