Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to support custom-built automation equipment and special-purpose machinery. This role is hands-on, customer-facing, and ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, travel, and working with cutting-edge technology. You'll be involved in everything from assembly and debugging to onsite installation and long-term customer support. This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically advanced team that supports customers across the U.S. and internationally. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer facilities (domestic and international) to support installation, commissioning, startup, and service activities Assemble, debug, and commission custom automation and special-purpose equipment Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout machine build and release Modify, optimize, and support PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics, and vision systems Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues Support and/or lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) Respond to service requests and provide onsite or remote technical support as needed Technical Skills & ExperienceControls & Programming PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Industrial robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, or similar) Vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence Industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.) Controls Hardware Electrical panel assembly and field wiring Pneumatic and fluid power systems Working knowledge of industry and safety standards (NFPA 79, UL 508A, CSA, CE) Mechanical & Electromechanical Mechanical assembly, machine alignment, and system troubleshooting Industrial sensors, transducers, and feedback devices Integration of peripheral equipment (servo presses, leak testers, laser systems, data tracking systems) Education & Qualifications Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Computer Engineering Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of formal education Industry certifications (Fanuc, Siemens, Keyence, etc.) are a strong plus
Pay:
$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
