Full Job Description Summary :
The Repair Technician, reporting to the Service/Production Manager, is directly responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling various pumps. This role will also test equipment sent in for repairs, troubleshooting pump and system issues and repairing equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair, tear down and clean any type of pump or pump system. Receive repairs, determine cause of failure, list repair components, pull parts from stock, repair equipment, test for effectiveness and document in an e-pair log. Repair pump and systems at Customer sites; including installation and start up. Use computer to look up Customers, research parts, diagram, schematic, and manuals online. Help maintain a clean and safe shop. Load and unload trucks. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills/Experience Required:
Advanced, demonstrable mechanical aptitude. Basic electrical knowledge. Proven ability to successfully troubleshoot. Ability to pass Mechanical Aptitude test. Valid driver's license with a record that allows you to be covered by company insurance. 3 plus years of repair experience on wide variety of process equipment.
Preferred:
Experience working at Customer sites. Hydraulic equipment maintenance or repair experience. Associates degree in related field.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to on occasion lift 50lbs. Ability to stand or walk most of the day. Ability to twist and turn at least 25% of day. Stoop and bend at least 25% of day. Ability to reach above shoulders at least 25% of day. Repetitive hand and wrist movements at least 50% of the day. Forearm rotation at least 25%of the day. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
