Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience repairing, servicing, or building complex equipment and tooling assemblies. This role is crucial for ensuring optimum customer satisfaction by providing expert analytical troubleshooting, repair, and testing services both in-house and at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities Diagnostic and Repair Service:
Perform analytical troubleshooting, repair, and comprehensive testing of tools and equipment at the company's service station in Mason, as well as occasionally at other service stations across the US and customer sites.
Technical Problem Solving:
Independently identify complex technical problems and provide appropriate, timely recommendations on assigned service responsibilities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Draw up detailed findings or test reports regarding the condition of tools and equipment, including recertification and repair orders.
Compliance and Safety:
Execute all repairs and maintenance work in strict adherence to company processes, guidelines, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
Assembly and Technical Interpretation:
Utilize hand tools and basic machine tools while applying standard assembly practices. The ability to read and fully understand engineering drawings, bills of material, and hydraulic schematics is required.
Customer Support and Project Management:
Provide a high level of support and service to ensure the optimum customer experience. Provide occasional on-site project support and complete service assignments independently.
Qualifications and Experience Experience:
5+ years of maintenance or service experience preferred (technical experience is required).
Technical Skills:
Proven skills in mechanical evaluations and repairs of a wide range of equipment. Education (Preferred): Additional mechanical or technical schooling (trade or college), such as a Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) degree or Mechanical Technician certification, is strongly preferred.
Specialized Knowledge:
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and some basic electronics is a plus.
Software Proficiency:
Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Personal Attributes:
Self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Procedural Comprehension:
Ability to read and fully understand general procedure manuals.
Communication:
Ability to interact effectively at various levels within the customer's organization.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment Physical Stamina:
Must be in a physical condition that allows for manual labor and tasks for up to 8 hours during the day if required.
Lifting:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Travel:
Occasional travel to service stations in the US and to customer sites will be required.
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $30.00 - $32.00
