Light Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Light Service Technician with AAA provides roadside assistance to members by performing basic vehicle services. This role requires hands-on technical skills, quick response times, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to roadside assistance calls in a timely and professional manner Perform vehicle lockout services without causing damage Change and install tires safely and efficiently Provide battery services, including jump-starts and basic battery testing/replacement Operate a light service vehicle and maintain all tools and equipment Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers Ensure high standards of customer service and professionalism Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations Accurately complete service reports and documentation

Requirements:

Valid light vehicle driver's license with a clean driving record Proven ability to perform: Vehicle lockout services Tire changes Battery services (jump-start, basic diagnostics) Basic mechanical knowledge of automobiles Ability to work in emergency and roadside conditions Good communication and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift equipment and work outdoors

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in roadside assistance or automotive service Familiarity with AAA service standards and procedures Customer service experience

Working Conditions:

Work outdoors in various weather and traffic conditions Shift-based schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Pay:

$16.50 - $20.00 per hour
