Duties and responsibilities Troubleshoot and Repair an assortment of electrical products used in the Dental industry such as; Ultra sonic cleaners, LED curing lights, Sterilizing ovens, High Frequency Electro Surgical device, and Dental Scalers. Perform acceptance testing of product after repair and associated documentation. Work with schematics, drawings and test procedures. Employ troubleshooting techniques in repair activities using various electrical meters, scopes, high voltage leak detection equipment, and other devices. Qualifications The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability needed in order to successfully perform the job. Associate?s degree (A. A,) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, six months to one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to effectively communicate with customers, sales reps and employees Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables An acceptable candidate would have previous experience is electronics build or repair with the ability to read and understand electronic schematics. The candidate should be capable of identifying various components such as; capacitors, fuses, transformers, resistors, etc. Working conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in primarily a plant environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position requiring at least 40 hours per week, with hours of work and days scheduled determined by the Production Supervisor. Special circumstances such as off shift and weekend work might occur on rare occasions. This position requires no travel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally the employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock and vibration.
