Service Technician

Overview MPD Pool Holdings is a long-term holding company investing in the acquisition of swimming pool companies across the United States. This year, we have acquired multiple businesses and have many targets in the pipeline as we grow through acquisition. Our first acquisition, Bontrager Pools is a leading full-service pool company specializing in new construction, service and retail. We have over 40 years of servicing NW Indiana and SW Michigan and have recently grown into the NE Ohio market. We are seeking a full-time Pool and Spa Service Technician to perform weekly pool/spa cleanings, preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance of equipment, and troubleshoot and service of residential pool and spa equipment. Service Technician performs water tests and analysis of data to assure the proper chemical balancing and doses as appropriate. Must be well organized to keep accurate service and maintenance records and communicate effectively to determine needs. Works as a leader, has strong customer relationships and team building qualities. We are a 24/7 Service company during the season and working over 40 hrs. a week may be a job requirement.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

… Duties and Responsibilities  Maintain residential customers pools and/or spas by providing weekly maintenance service which includes but is not limited to, brushing pool/spa walls, vacuuming, cleaning filter cartridges, chemical readings and dosing.  Repair or Install replacement equipment and parts per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties.  Complete equipment preventive maintenance in accordance with established standards  Troubleshoot, analyze and repair pool and/or spa equipment malfunctions in accordance with EPA established standards.  Follow maintenance schedule to complete accurate and timely equipment maintenance and operating logs.  Complete documentation, including but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, service reports and purchase card logs.  Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, group meetings and maintaining tools and vehicle  Requirement to work overtime during the week and/or weekends.

WHAT YOU HAVE

 High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent  A valid Driver's License is required with clean driving record  A minimum of 2 years consistent work experience is field service / customer service role where you have worked independently  Accountable, reliable and a courteous attitude towards our customers.  Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  No required but preferred experience / knowledge in a home service industry is a plus.  Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure. Read technical schematics as well as specification manuals.
