Job Description

Position Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for providing expert maintenance, repair, and technical support for precision cooling systems used in data center environments. Technicians represent our company on customer sites, ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with our commitment to exceptional customer service. This role supports Vertiv/Liebert HVAC systems and requires technical knowledge, professionalism, and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective service on HVAC equipment, primarily Vertiv/Liebert precision cooling systems.
  • Respond to critical system alarms and support emergency troubleshooting and repair efforts.
  • Accurately diagnose system issues and recommend appropriate solutions to ensure uptime and efficiency.
  • Complete detailed service documentation, including work orders, inspection checklists, and service reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety protocols and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with the internal service operations group to communicate job status, parts needs, and scheduling updates.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication, clean workspace, and professional conduct.
  • Support commissioning of new units, retrofits, and system upgrades when needed.
  • Maintain a company vehicle, tools, and inventory according to company standards.
  • Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service coverage.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service (data center or mission-critical environments preferred).
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience servicing Vertiv/Liebert equipment.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
  • Basic understanding of Client/Client systems and networked control systems.
  • NATE or equivalent technical certification.
