This part-time position is ideal for someone with a background in concrete, steel, and general repairs who is also comfortable working in confined spaces. You'll be the face of our company at customer sites, so professionalism and strong customer service skills are essential. Duties Perform storm shelter inspections, repairs, cleanings, and minor modifications Work with concrete, steel components, door hardware, seals, and ventilation systems Operate power tools, hand tools, some earth moving equipment and basic diagnostic equipment Work inside confined spaces (storm shelters) Communicate with customers clearly and professionally on-site Follow all safety protocols and procedures Maintain accurate records of repairs performed, including parts used and time spent on each task. Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and addressing customer inquiries. Stay updated on the latest repair techniques and technologies relevant to the industry. Experience Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a similar handy person role is preferred. Experience with concrete, steel, general construction, or handyman services Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work in small, enclosed spaces and lift up to 75 lbs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Excellent customer service and communication skills Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented Willingness to learn and grow with a new company Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.
