Service Truck Technician Location:
Tulsa, OK Pay:
$25-$30/hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Occasional after-hours service calls Job Summary Action Group Staffing is seeking an experienced Reefer / Service Truck Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. This role services customer locations and dealership facilities while ensuring all work meets DOT compliance and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical skills and the ability to work independently in the field. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a good driving record Ability to work in all weather and environmental conditions Flexibility to handle varying schedules and after-hours service calls Strong communication skills to explain repairs and service needs Ability to diagnose issues and determine on-site vs. shop repairs Experience with welding, electrical, fabrication, sheet metal, and mechanical work Diesel engine experience preferred DOT certification (FHWA Inspections & Air Brakes) preferred Must supply own tools Reliable attendance and professional appearance Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to pass background check and drug screening Responsibilities Troubleshoot and perform routine and emergency repairs on tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units Repair and maintain braking systems, hydraulic systems, and air systems Complete preventative maintenance and ensure DOT compliance Communicate with service writers, dispatchers, and managers regarding job status and additional service needs Maintain accurate service records and vehicle maintenance documentation Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including test drives as needed Transport equipment between customer sites and dealership locations Read and interpret manuals, safety rules, and operating procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned
